As Azure Solution Architect and Technical Lead at HealthFitness, I worked on a multi-tenant SaaS wellness platform serving Fortune 500 and government customers.
The context
The platform was a four-year, $65 million initiative involving multiple teams. My leadership contribution focused on the portal implementation, with more than 50 geographically distributed contributors.
My contribution
I established technical vision and provided collaborative leadership and guidance for the portal work. That contribution included architectural guidance, quality practices, and data architecture.
I also contributed to a DevOps initiative to automate environment refreshes, deployments, and cloud resource allocation.
The leadership dimension
The scale of the initiative put technical direction and collaboration in the same frame. Architecture needed to serve the people implementing the portal as well as the platform’s requirements.
For me, this work represents an essential part of technology leadership: connecting a shared direction to the engineering details that teams act on.
